A woman is in conversation with her husband about the day’s usual issues. Through their actions, the absence of emotional connection between them becomes more and more apparent. The woman leaves the house in anger and crosses empty urban spaces which reflect her mental condition. Suddenly, in the abandoned streets of Athens a crowded space with music invites her to step in. There, she meets an attractive man who excites her senses, becoming the object of her desires. She follows him until she comes face to face with her inner self.

Dissolving the stereotypes of marriage and touching upon a taboo subject, such as fidelity/infidelity in a relationship -through the eyes of a woman- the film SHADOW is timeless and at the same time more relevant than ever. Based on analytical psychology and Carl Jung’s shadow theory, in which the human beings have a dark, repressed, guilty side that follows them and opposes their conscious principles, the film SHADOW focuses on the nocturnal urban wanderings of a woman, experiencing an inner crisis.
