Documenting in Tatoi
Duration: 18’14’’
As part of the complex project for the restoration and revitalization of the former royal estate of Tatoi, the Directorate of the National Archive of Monuments undertook the documentation and digitization of the numerous objects discovered throughout the estate. The film focuses on the personal experience of those involved in the documentation process: on how they approached the objects, and the sensitivity with which they handled artifacts that bear the memory of individuals and events from modern Greek history. Through their eyes, the objects find a voice, and the act of documentation becomes a living process of retrieval and reinterpretation of the past.
