Hidden Voice
Duration: 03’00’’
A symbolic figure of a woman moves toward the sea, seeking to connect with the environment — to feel the sun, to breathe the fresh air — when a strange, undefined sound suddenly disturbs her calm. Drawn to its mysterious source, she approaches the water, where the sound grows louder, inviting her to follow it. She walks into the sea until her face meets the surface. There, she hears them clearly: voices, cries, and screams exhaling from the sea — a soundscape that brings forth fragments of refugee rescues. Memories and images emerge through the sound of the sea. For people persecuted by war and oppression, the sea was the only way out — an escape that led to one of the greatest humanitarian tragedies.
