Watching Through
Client:
Year:
Inspired by Jacques Prévert’s poem Breakfast, the story follows a woman, isolated in her apartment, who observes the man living across the street through the lens of her camera. She watches his morning rituals — the coffee, the cigarette, his silence — which become both a comfort and a burden. One evening, a female figure appears in his apartment, disrupting her familiar routine. As she adjusts her telephoto lens, she suddenly sees her own face. She wasn’t watching him. She was watching her past. Her breakup. Herself. And perhaps, for the first time, she is ready to face it.
